How we verify practitioners

Every practitioner on SafeSkin is confirmed on a recognised Irish healthcare register. Here's exactly how we do it.

Our verification process

01

Register check

We confirm the practitioner appears on one of the three recognised Irish healthcare registers. We verify name, registration number, and current registration status.

02

Status confirmation

We confirm the practitioner holds a current, active registration — not expired, suspended, or struck off. Only practitioners with active registrations are listed.

03

Ongoing monitoring

Registrations are periodically re-checked. If a practitioner's status changes, their listing is updated or removed accordingly.

The three registers

SafeSkin only lists practitioners who are on one of these three statutory registers.

Medical Council of Ireland

The statutory body responsible for the registration of doctors in Ireland.

Who: Doctors (medical practitioners)

Dental Council of Ireland

Important: what verification means

SafeSkin confirms that practitioners are registered with one of the three statutory bodies listed above. This means they are qualified healthcare professionals — a doctor, dentist, or nurse — with an active registration.

SafeSkin does not guarantee:

  • Specific aesthetic training or qualifications
  • Treatment outcomes or results
  • Clinic facilities or standards
  • Product quality or authenticity

We strongly encourage all consumers to ask their chosen practitioner about their specific aesthetic training, experience, insurance, and the products they use before proceeding with any treatment.
